Job Title: Tire Repair Operator


1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday- Friday


Location: Jefferson


Overview: As a Tire Repair Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective repair of tires for various vehicles, including cars, trucks, and other automobiles. Your role will involve inspecting tires for damage, determining the appropriate repair method, and executing repairs according to safety and quality standards. You will work closely with customers and other team members to ensure timely and satisfactory service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tire Inspection: Thoroughly examine tires to identify punctures, cuts, wear, and other forms of damage.
  2. Repair Assessment: Determine the appropriate repair method based on the extent and type of damage observed.
  3. Repair Execution: Skillfully perform tire repairs, including patching punctures, fixing cuts, and addressing other issues using industry-standard techniques and equipment.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repaired tires meet safety and quality standards, conducting post-repair inspections as necessary.
  5. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their tire repair needs, provide recommendations, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tire repairs performed, including details of the damage, repair methods used, and any other relevant information.
  7. Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tire repair equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  8. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including mechanics, service advisors, and sales staff, to deliver excellent customer service and support overall business objectives.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to tire repair, and actively seek opportunities for skill development and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in tire repair or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of tire repair techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess tire damage.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy tires and equipment.
  • Extended periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Comfort working in various weather conditions (e.g., extreme heat or cold).
