Partners Personnel is now hiring in Freeport, IL and we are seeking experienced Sit-Down Forklift Drivers for immediate start.

Position: Forklift Operator

Pay: $16.50 - $17.05 per hour

Shift: 1st shift, 2nd shift and 3rd shift


  • 7:00am -3:00pm
  • 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • 11pm - 7am

Forklift Operator Job Summary:

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.

Job Duties for Forklift Operator:

· Must be able to drive forklift or have forklift license with the company already.

· Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner in warehouse environment.

· Store product in the warehouse.

· Move product from various locations in the warehouse to the loading area.

· Inspect trailers and load product onto trailers.

· Move materials manually, with a pallet jack, and with a forklift.

· Must be able to keep up with the cases per man hour.

· Must be able to work independently and be very accurate on loads.

· Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks or plugging, and report malfunctions or undesirable tastes to supervisors.

· Record load or order information on specified forms and records.

· Obtain, move, open, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools.

· Cleaning tasks, including but not limited to, maintaining machines, sweep floors, and pick up trash.

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

· RF Scanner and basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
