Accurately and efficiently verify and pack parts as per packaging instructions that ensure customer requirements are fulfilled. Verifies and packs parts as per packaging instructions. Verifies accuracy of bar code labels and ensures they are placed on containers as instructed. Keeps packing and storage areas clean, tidy and safe in accordance with legislation and company guidelines. Assists in maintaining inventory on a first-in, first-out basis, rotating stock as necessary. Uses necessary support equipment to perform the job, e.g., weigh scale, computer terminal, tape guns etc. Ability to operate forklift to move materials as required. Required to work flexible shift/work hours including Saturdays to meet customer demands. Any other reasonable request made by management. Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that compliments the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to. Ensures he/she is in full compliance with the laws of Georgia and/or any other province or state, while representing KIRCHHOFF Automotive Atlanta or during the use of any One to two years on the job experience preferably in a manufacuturing environment picking and packing Experience using pallet jacks (forklifts exp a plus) Skills (language, technical, computer etc.) Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to follow through on directions given by Supervisor/Team Leader Ability to work well under pressure Basic mathematical skills Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and write. Ability to repeatedly lift, reach, push, pull, carry, bend, twist, and stoop with parts, boxes, or other objects weighing up to 40 pounds within allotted times. Ability to use close vision, depth perception and adjust focus to visually inspect part quality to standards. Ability to work in hot or cold environments. Ability to read and demonstrate understanding of documents such as safety rules, work instructions, maintenance instructions, employee handbook, policies, and procedures. Ability to apply basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ability to round numbers and to calculate averages. Ability to apply common sense understanding and sound judgment to carry out detailed written or oral Instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a team environment. Ability to use hands to grip, finger, handle and/or feel parts. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to gloves, protective sleeves, safety glasses with side shields, and steel-toed shoes. Work overtime before and/or after normal shifts and/or on weekends as assigned.
